LEAKED ON THE NET- HTC's NEW HANDSETS PICTURES!

Hear ye! Hear Ye! Presenting two new HTC handsets whose first sneak peak is now available on the internet. OK, so you are busy watching Prince William and Princess Kate's wedding pictures, but please take out a little time to see these pieces of latest technology. These new handsets have been codenamed- HTC Rider and HTC Kingdom.
Maybe, HTC has taken inspiration from the whole royal wedding thing to have codenamed the two phones with such royal names. Whatever be the reason for the name, the looks of these handsets are far from medieval. The pictures of the two handsets are quite blurred, but you may still have a clear look.

On the other hand, the HTC Kingdom looks very similar to recent HTC smartphones. One website is quoting its silver suit that reminds us on a knight on a horse.
It has an Android OS, can be detected from this picture. Whether there is a front-facing camera or not, I am not very sure.

The HTC Rider seems to be an Android run phone with four navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen. Now, I am guessing, they are to be pressed buttons and not touch sensitive ones.

So, here are the new HTC Phones, which will be out soon. Will they be as popular as the HTC Desire HD? It waits to be seen.

The Moment Has Arrived

(Image-sky.com)

It is finally time- the moment has come- we are to witness a historical event (if you differ, its ok). Kate and Prince William are tying the knot. The entire world is looking at London and our majestic city is ready to welcome its new monarchs.
The arrangements for the royal wedding have been undertaken at a large scale. Not less than £20m have been spent on the security operation. The military and the police are providing protection against anarchists, terrorists, and stalkers. The Westminster Abbey has been surrounded by a steel fence, which will keep out thousands of well-wishers who have gathered to see the happy couple for real. The police is also present in plain-clothes among the crowd, to thwart any attempt to disrupt the event.
Search teams and sniffer dogs have made a final check of the area and the route of the Royal Couple. for more sunshine - but their spirits may end up being slightly dampened.
The Police and the Army are helpless however, when it comes to the weather. It is feared that rain showers may start in the early hours of 29th April. This means that the beautiful Kate may have to reach Westminster Abbey in to marry Prince William. Thats not all, wet weather could also hamper the newlyweds' way to Buckingham Palace after the wedding. The couple will greet the people enroute in an open top 1902 State Landau, but will have to make do with a Glass Coach if it starts raining. Now, if also want to celebrate this royal union, then sign up for the royal wedding deals on the HTC Desire HD, BlackBerry Torch 9800 and the Samsung Tocco Lite. Now if Apple planned this release to draw attention away from the iOS tracking fiasco, them I think it will not have the desired impact. People are still skeptical about their iPad 2! 'We are not tracking anyone! '- Steve Jobs' hot denial!

All the users of the iPhone 4 read carefully. Where you are right now is known to you only as your Apple gadget with the iOS is not your location monitor. Rejoice! Be happy, your privacy is intact, as Apple CEO Steve Jobs has put an end to all speculation that Apple is using the location-tracking 'bug' in iOS to track its users. Steve Jobs dismissed all allegations, and news reports have quoted him as saying-
"We haven't been tracking anybody," he says. "Never have. Never will."
Image-slashgear.com
However, the iPhone4 "does back up historical location data but doesn't need to collect quite as much and promises to resolve the issue with a software fix".
When questioned on the delayed response,  Jobs said that he and his team were focused on finding the root cause of the issue, before making a public statement. You will agree, that this controversy reminds us of the antennagate fiasco that accompanied the launch of the iPhone 4, where Apple's delayed response raised quite a few eyebrows. The Apple CEO is quoted as saying- "It took us about a week to do an investigation and write a response, which is fairly quick for something this technically complicated."

So, what is the bottom line, the tab feature is there in the Apple iOS, so its present right there in your iPad2 , but, Apple is not using it to keep tabs on you.

Your privacy is safe. As far as the allegations on Google are concerned, your Android phones keep a tab on you or not, we are still waiting for a word from Google. Yes, you can use your HTC Desire HD quite safely, its not intruding on your privacy as of now.
Lets see  what Google has to say about privacy violations!

Mobile Networks Get Ready for Royal Wedding!

Well, if you are in London to see Kate become a Queen, and your Granny calls then you will be able to relate every happening clearly. Thanks to the network providers, who are working non-stop to ensure that on the 29th, the mobile networks do not get jammed. Network operators are focused on increasing capacity around key Royal wedding sites, mostly in central London. The leading networks like O2 and Vodafone plan to install temporary mobile masts in St James’ Park and Hyde Park. This will provide network support to the million users with smartphones, who will turn up for the wedding. According to a news report -”Vodafone said it would also double network capacity on Clapham Common in south London, where thousands will be camped out in front of big screens.”
According to a news report, Vodafone said it aims to prevent its network becoming jammed in the normally-quiet village, which has a population of just over 2,000. That's not all, it is installing portable 3G base stations so that even double the normal number of users can call, text, tweet and update Facebook simultaneously. The networks are aware that Kate's home village will be filled with the world media and hence connectivity and network support have to be utmost.
Virgin Media Business claimed the ongoing boom in sales of smartphones with high definition cameras will show that 3G networks “may no longer be fit for purpose”.
Its is clear that the Royal Wedding is a tough test for the networks, to see if they can support the high density of users or not! Let's see what unfolds on the 29th!

Image-techtickerblog.com

Here it is. Look closely. Read carefully. The BlackBerry Playbook plans to take your breath away! It runs on a new OS called QNX which can bridge you to your BlackBerry phone- the result a completely secure email. This tablet will be a great help for your work as it has features such as built-in viewers for spreadsheets and word processing files. Now for the multimedia features- it has a 3MP front-facing camera, a 5MP rear-facing one, a 7 inch screen with a resolution of 1200x600, and comes with gyro, accelerometer and GPS sensors. It is light weight at just 425gms.
One of the things that will surely excite you, is the powerful multi-tasking, where you can split your screen and can watch a video in one window and play a game in another one. Both the applications will run simultaneously. This feature is a first of its kind for a mainstream tab.
It comes with ample file storage capabilities, and can support an HDMI connection for playing 1080p video. You will be fairly satisfied with its interface. The dual-core 1GHz processor sees to the fast and smooth running of the various apps. It falters in several areas, hence falls short of the Apple iPad2 or the Motorola Xoom, and in some cases can't compete with the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
You can get it at-  £300 ($500)  for the 16GB model. Refer to price comparison websites for the best offers.

WHAT WILL 'APPLE' DO WITH ALL THE MONEY!!

Now listen to this- Apple just got juicier- I mean, it just got richer. The US Tech giant revealed its earnings for the first quarter of 2011. It sold 18.65 million iPhones, 9.02 million iPods went off the shelf, 4.69 million iPads and, it doesn't stop here- 3.76 million Macs. So, if you are still struggling with the Maths- the grand total is-£3.65bn of profit. It's OK, you can start breathing now!
That's a huge amount (3.5 billion Pounds, in case you had forgotten!), that Apple has pocketed this quarter. However, its still behind its top competitor Google, which earned a revenue of £5bn in the same quarter. But the rate at which Apple has progressed is amazing. Its profit this year is double than last year's. Some of the credit goes to the iPhone 4 too, which popularized Apple's other products- specifically the Macs. As for the tablet iPad, it did bring in disappointed numbers as its sales fell short of the targeted 7 million. Now, Apple may blame the Japan disaster for delay in iPad production, but users response is also below, than desired.
But the focus here is the double earnings that Apple pocketed in the first quarter and this is what I am wondering- Where will Apple invest its earnings? Do you have any suggestions?

Sony Ericsson thwarted by HTC!!!!

I am so taken up by this news, Sony Ericsson has been thwarted by HTC. And the reason- It is making less smartphones than HTC! new figyres show clearly that the company is lacking in these areas.the stats say that Sony Ericsson sold 10.5 million handsets earlier, but now its down to 8.1 million, which the company puts down to a reduction in the number of feature phones sold. that means- smartphones!

So, what will it do? restructuring or will it pull up its socks against HTC Phones ...only time will tell and i will be watching!
